# Renew ThemeWare® Subscription

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Important**: This article applies to the old purchase version for ThemeWare® that could be purchased until the end of 2023.
{% endhint %}

Shopware changed the billing options for extensions in the store on 28 December 2023. Extensions can now only be rented.

This means that the [subscription of purchased extensions](https://store.shopware.com/en/kaufversion-subscriptions) has also been removed.

To continue receiving support and updates for your theme, switch to the rental license.

***

The following article explains how to switch from an old purchase licence to a rental licence: [Switch to rental license](/knowledge-base/tutorials/shopware-account/switch-to-rental-license.md)

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Note**: If you have any questions or problems regarding bookings/licenses/subscriptions, please contact Shopware directly, as we as the manufacturer cannot influence this. > [Shopware Support](https://docs.shopware.com/en/account-en/merchant-area/support)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.themeware.design/knowledge-base/tutorials/shopware-account/renew-themeware-subscription.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
