Maintenance mode
In this article you will learn how to activate the maintenance mode for a sales channel.
Open the administration of your shop
Switch via the main navigation to the sales channel of your storefront in the section "Sales Channels" (1)
Scroll in the Tab "General" to the Section "Status" (2)
Click the switch button "Maintenance mode" (3)
Now click the button "Save" at the top (4)
The corresponding sales channel is now in maintenance mode.
In maintenance mode the sales channel will be invisible to visitors. However, you will be able to access it, using white listed IPs. This way you can safely work on the sales channel data (e.g. to make updates), while blocking visitors at a maintenance mode screen.
Add IP addresses to the whitelist in order to allow selective access to your shop. You may add IPv4 and IPv6 addresses as needed.
You can change the layout for maintenance pages in the basic information ("Settings" => "Shop") of your shop. In the section "Shop pages" you will find the option "Shop page layout for maintenance pages".
