--- description: Remove an extension (plugins, apps or themes) in Shopware 6 --- # Remove extensions * Open the administration of your shop * Switch via the main navigation to the "**Extension Management**" (1) (2) ("Extensions"=> "My extensions") * Click the  **Context-Button** (3) next to the theme in order to open the context menu and click "**Remove**" (4) * Log in to the **Shopware Account** within the tab "**Shopware Account**" with your account update your data so that the deletion of the extension is updated in the entire system. The extension has now been removed. {% hint style="info" %} **Note**: It is necessary to uninstall extensions before deleting them. {% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %} **Note**: If the extension cannot be deleted, it can in most cases be deleted directly via FTP and from the database. {% endhint %} *** ### Remove license Extensions with valid licenses will be displayed in the Extension Management even after "removing" them, because the corresponding account still owns this license. You can remove/archiv the license itself in your Shopware Account: * Go to your Shopware Account at [https://account.shopware.com](https://account.shopware.com) and cancel the rental there. Without this cancellation, the rental contract will continue to be charged.
